November is the month of Gnomes, Elves, (good)Trolls & Fairies!

Check back here soon for details about our Festival of Lights Parade entry. We know that we all want to wear white, sparkly costumes...with wings, gnome or elf hats, striped stockings... Families that create lanterns in our Lantern making workshop on Friday, November 18th, may want to join us in the Parade for our first-ever parade entry! (Families that already have lanterns may also join us of course!)

11/4 - First Friday Elves, Gnomes, Fairies and Trolls (see poster for details)

11/5 - 11:00 am Saturday morning Storytime - with special guest Mark Ropers

11/12 - 11:00am Saturday morning Storytime - with Lady Jane Modern Faery

11/18 - 5pm to 8pm Lantern Workshop Party ($5 material fee) Pioneer Hall, Parents please assist younger children. Come at 5pm to have enough time to complete a project. Pre-registration highly recommended so we will have enough supplies. Email ladyjane at treehouse@ashlandhome.net or stop by the store.

Festival of Lights Parade

We had a wonderful time at our lantern-making workshop last Friday Nov. 18th. It was a fun party and many of you went home with a cool lantern at the end of the evening. Thank you to our Secret Book Club friends Alima, Mumi, Ngis, Juliet and Aleena for helping us host the event!

TreeHouse families are invited to join us in the Festival of Lights Parade Friday, Nov. 25th. Our theme is "Winter Fairies, Gnomes, Elves and (good) Trolls. We will wear lights, white-silver-gold clothing, wings, elf and gnome hats, and carry our lanterns (we suggest battery-operated tealights). Wind chimes are also most welcome, as they make wonderful music for our frolic down the street!

We are parade entry #6, and will meet on Siskiyou Blvd. in front of the Ashland Public Library at 4:30pm. Parents may accompany their children-please dress up also, so our group is festive! We look forward to seeing you there!

Tree House has added several events on our October Calendar.
We now have a regular storytime: Saturday mornings at 11:00am

Our new Secret Book Club session begins October 14th. See the Book Club page for more info

First Friday Artwalk Imagination Celebration is October 7th from 3pm til 6pm.

Our favorite holiday of the year is also this month...HALLOWEEN!!!

We got into costume-mode early this season with our "Talk Like A Pirate" celebration on Monday September 19th. See our Tree House facebook page for the photo album!

We had a blast on our First Annual "International Talk Like a Pirate Day" Party September 19th. Thanks to all of you who came and made the party a rockin' pillagin' rumpus!
